Apple cider vinegar is touted as the panacea for numerous ailments in folk medicine. Our Cider Boost is made from Sonoma County apples and a 12-year old “mother”, which is comprised of beneficial bacteria and assists in the fermentation process. Following the tried-and-true folk medicine recipe, we add several therapeutic herbs and spices. We brew this concoction for over a month, resulting in a combination of pungent, hot, and sour flavors. Fire cider is traditionally taken to ward off sickness, break up congestion, enhance circulation, and aid in digestion. A healthy gut helps the body combat germs and environmental toxins. Mix this tonic with olive oil to create a healthy homemade salad dressing or take a shot and feel the heat!
